Argentine tango is brought to life through expert instruction and personalised guidance. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced dancer looking to refine your skills, our classes offer an immersive and enriching experience for all levels. Our seasoned tango instructor, Richard Manuel, is dedicated to sharing the rich traditions and intricate techniques of Argentine Tango, ensuring that each lesson is both enjoyable and educational. Step onto the dance floor and discover the passion, elegance, and connection that make tango a truly unique dance form.

Classes & lessons

Immersive Tango Breaks

Richard’s immersive Tango breaks offer students an opportunity to delve into details and immerse themselves in Argentine Tango. There will be 4 hours of classes each day, 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon, with more than enough rest in between!

We will also be exploring theoretical elements of Tango dance and music to further your understanding and appreciation of cultural elements of Argentine Tango.

Supervised practicas will also be timetabled and opportunities to meet the local tango community at any nearby milongas will be offered.
Get ready to eat, sleep and live Tango!

Breaks take place in the UK or abroad, with variable pricing. Please see calendar for upcoming events.

Teacher Training

Richard has extensive experience and has studied not only Tango but also the art of teaching tango over two decades.

He has taught a number of tango teachers in private lesson format, refining their dance to ensure the technical quality can be passed on to their students.

Furthermore, Richard offers specific Tango Teacher Training Private lessons. These lessons are ideal for those who already run classes or aspire to teaching students in the future. Lessons will provide specific details around the movements you would like to teach, that will assist you in the class setting and enable you to help your students achieve.

Teacher training courses and syllabuses are also available for those who wish to teach under our wings as part of Tangoloop, with the added benefit of continued support in teaching and running your classes. Please express your interest via email with a cover letter and sample video of you dancing. Quality is important to us, so entry to this course requires an excellent standard of improvised Tango, and a good knowledge of the Tangoloop teaching approach. Terms and Conditions apply.

Tangoloop Teacher Training course (8 hours) + 1x suggested 6 week syllabus (beginner level, with updates): £980

Tangoloop Teacher Weekend Training Top-Ups (8 hours) Topic Specific (eg: off axis work, ganchos, boleos, vals, milonga): £800

Performance Oriented Private Lessons

With extensive performance experience on stage, and at milongas and Tango festivals, Richard has assisted dancers in preparing for entry into competitions, where the fine execution of the dance really matters.

In Performance oriented Private Lessons, Richard assists the couple or individual not only in technical abilities and perfecting lines and movements, but also in performance specific details such as musicality, performance space and audience engagement.

These private lessons are available to Argentine Tango dancers preparing for competition or performances with Choreography, including Tango Stage as well as for Improvised salon Tango.

Private Events

For private events such as parties, weddings or other celebrations, Argentine Tango performances can break up the evening and surprise your family and friends.
Whatever the celebration, we are happy to cater to your needs. We can perform to specific tango music, or choreograph and perform to music of your choice, should this be preferred.
